New City Kids exists to assist parents, families, and caregivers in teaching the gospel to their children.
As a church, we pray that God will use our Sunday morning classes ands kids' activities to help affirm in our children an enduring love for Him through relationships, worship and teaching. We believe children are an important part of our church family and endeavor to pray with and for them both on Sunday mornings and throughout their time here at New City.
Children of any age are welcome and encouraged to attend our Sunday morning worship services, as they are able. Worship activity bags are available in The Commons for children choosing to attend the worship service. These bags are geared toward preschool and elementary-aged children.
We offer classes/care for children ages infant-4th grade weekly, 5th and 6th grade every other week, and youth group gatherings for 7th-12th graders at times other than Sunday mornings.
You can stay up-to-date with what's happening with New City Kids by visiting Church Center! And you can also find out information about our student ministry on Church Center as well.
Our classes are designed to help children develop an age-appropriate understanding of the gospel through learning activities and observing Christ-like behavior modeled by our adult volunteers. Each classroom is staffed with a lead volunteer who has been through an application process, training and background check. Serving with them are volunteers from the congregation.
About our New City Kids classes
All of our kids - birth through 12th grade - study and discuss the same Scripture passage and topic each week, utilizing the Gospel Project curriculum. We even provide a "Family Connection" card each week with an overview of what kids are talking about in their classes and some questions for discussion throughout the week during "drive time", around dinner table, or in family worship time.
