The Returning King

“The Bible ends with a flourish: vision and song, doom and deliverance, terror and triumph. The rush of color and sound, image and energy, leaves us reeling. But if we persist through the initial confusion and read on, we begin to pick up the rhythms, realize the connections, and find ourselves enlisted as participants in a multi-dimensional act of Christian worship." (Eugene Peterson) Advent and Christmas are about the hidden power of God. The book of Revelation, and the second Advent, are about the same thing. When the situation seems most dire, the opposition most severe, and the people of God most weak, God reveals once again that he is on the throne, despite appearances to the contrary. Join us during this Advent and Christmas season as we look at selections from the book of Revelation, and prepare our hearts to worship the real King.
