Esther: For Such a Time as This
If you have ever said or thought: "God isn't saying anything!" then Esther is for you. The book seems off topic: no one prays, preaches or has a vision. The book seems off stage: amongst people exiled in a foreign land, far away from Jerusalem and the temple. God isn't even mentioned in the book of Esther. And yet, the whole point is that God is never not working. We believe in miracles, but life is more than just the miraculous. God moves in the mundane, speaks in the quiet, provides even while hidden.
