Introducing the Church Center App!
Over the past few months, we’ve been developing a plan for how to effectively communicate as a congregation since The City closed down. After a few months of trying different approaches, we’ve opted to go all in with Planning Center.
As we continue to transition to using Planning Center for more and more of our communications needs, we want to encourage you to download their app, Church Center.
Church Center is an app from Planning Center that serves as a hub for what’s happening at New City. On the app, you can see what groups you’re part of through Planning Center Groups along with staying up-to-date with church wide events.
As we look to begin our summer studies soon, we encourage you to download the Church Center app to register for a study that you want to participate in.
Here’s how to register for a Summer Study on Church Center:
-
Download Church Center app from your app store; click here for iOS and here for Android.
-
Open the app and find New City Presbyterian Church by searching our name or our zipcode, 45212.
-
Select New City Presbyterian Church and provide your phone number.
-
After providing your phone number, you’ll receive a confirmation code. Enter that to confirm your number and you should be automatically logged in.
-
Upon logging in, you’ll see a page with information about New City. At the bottom, there will be a footer with with different icons.
-
Select “Groups”. You’ll automatically see all of the Groups that you’re a member of. Scroll down, and select summer studies. Explore the different offerings, then tap “join” for the study you want to participate in.
-
And that’s it! You’re part of a summer study!
And here's a video demonstrating the process on an iPhone:
