Getting Ready for Sunday (01.08.2012)
There is something special about the people of God coming together for worship (Hebrews 10:24-25). Thus, we hope Sundays at New City are a highlight of your week. In an effort to help you get more out of it, we'reposting a short preview of this Sunday's gathering.
We're excited to have Mark Brown preaching this week. Mark has been on staff with Cru for 22 years and the Campus Director at Miami University for the last 14 years. He's a graduate of Northern Illinois University and has an M.Div from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Mark also serves as the chaplain for the Oxford City Police Department and is a 7th grade girls basketball coach. He's been married to Diane for 20 years. They have four children (Drew, Justin, JT, and Addie) and live in Oxford. Mark is going to be speaking from Proverbs 16:1-3, 9, 25.
Next week we'll start our winter sermon series based on the life of Abraham in Genesis 12-25.
Songs we'll sing this week include:
- In Your Name (listen)
- Fairest Lord Jesus
- The Lord is King (listen)
- Grace Upon Grace (listen) - A new song for us, based on a Puritan prayer from the Valley of Vision.
- All Must Be Well (listen below)
- O Love That Will Not Let Me Go (listen below)
See you Sunday. Bring a friend!
