Street Fest Update
New City is partnering with other churches and agencies in the city to help put on Madisonville Street Fest. Involvement in our community is a high value for us, so we're excited to be able to participate in Madisonville's biggest event. Street Fest is Saturday, August 6 from 2pm-7pm at the corner of Madison and Whetsel. It's a community celebration with free food, games, and health/nutrition awareness.
First, thank you to those at New City who have come forward to help with the Street Fest! There's been a great response for serving in the New City "Planting Seeds" Booth. A large donation of backpacks and supplies has been provided from the Briners and First Tee (awesome!!). And there have been a few who have responded to volunteer more generally at the event.
At this point, our New City Booth is fully staffed, but we could still use some general volunteers for the day of the event. If you are available at any point in time August 6th, email Kirstie at firstname.lastname@example.org and she'll get you more information. And if you can't volunteer, come try and come up for an hour or two, mix and mingle, and enjoy the event!
Also, keep those school supplies coming! The final time to donate supplies is at church this Sunday, July 31st. Look for the box marked School Supply Donations by the book table. Thank you again for everyone who has come forward! Keep praying about how you can be involved in serving Madisonville!
**Kirstie is not only leading New City's part of the event, but also serves on the Madisonville Street Fest committee, working to put on the entire event.
