NCK Easter Week Craft & Activity Suggestions
The NCK Team would like to share some craft and activity suggestions in preparation for Easter Sunday. Enjoy!
Crafts
We searched for some attainable yet meaningful crafts for you to do with your family this week. These are all fairly simple and can be enjoyed by kids ages preschool and up!
Paper Plate Cross Craft
Have fun with this simple illustrative craft - perfect for preschoolers!
String Art Easter Cross
Try to make a cross using scraps from around the house! Use these instructions from the blog "Sunhats and Wellie Boots."
Easter Story Wreath
Make an Easter story wreath using this PDF, complete with instructions and cut-outs. This is a bit more detailed and may be better for an elementary-aged student, but certainly can be completed by little ones with some help!
Coloring
Just print them out! Try and take a break while the kids are busy coloring. You are doing a great job in a really tough time, New City parents!
Color Easter Bookmarks
Please enjoy this PDF from the blog "The Crafty Classroom." We encourage you to color them and give them to your friends and family! If you would like to laminate yours, please save it and we will be happy to laminate for you once we are back at church. (Just leave it with us at the NCK Check-In station.)
Easter Coloring Pages
Enjoy this 15-page coloring book from Ministry-To-Children.
Activities
Featuring tried and true Easter activities with fantastic gospel messages. They can be done together as an entire family...have fun with them!
Easter Egg Object Lesson
Try this simple plastic egg activity from "Creative Bible Study" to create a powerful object lesson. A pdf of the script can be found here.
Empty Tomb/Resurrection Rolls
Make Empty Tomb Rolls on Easter Sunday morning! This recipe from "From My Family Table" provides helpful instructions as well as a teaching lesson. There is a helpful "print recipe" option on the page that includes optional bible readings to do together while the rolls are in the oven.
Christ-Centered Scavenger Hunt
Create a scavenger hunt that explains the message of Easter! These "clues" will lead your child right to their Easter basket. From the blog "Happy Home Fairy"...go here for the pdf printable for your hunt!
The Bible Jumpstart Project
Try out these videos recommended by Pastor Josh. This organization is producing a new video daily M-F just for kids during this time of quarantine.
We hope you enjoy preparing for this special weekend! He has risen indeed!
