Using colorful, engaging artwork, Holy Week introduces little ones to a wide range of emotions as they follow Jesus through the final week of His life.  Children will delight in the beautiful illustrations and learn about basic emotions, such as joy, anger, sadness, fear, and more.  And they will become familiar with one of the final chapters in Jesus's story here on earth. You will appreciate the artistic design, theologically sound content, and helping your little one understand that emotions are created by God and that they are good.

God Gave Us Easter

As Little Cub celebrates Easter with Papa, Mama, and her brother and sister, she begins to ask her papa questions about this very special day of the year.  Papa lovingly explains God’s plans for his children, while taking Little Cub on a memorable walk through her stunning Arctic world, and he shares how Easter came about in clear, simple terms that even the littlest cubs can understand.

The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross

This beautifully illustrated hardback book takes children on a journey from the garden of Eden to God’s perfect new creation.  Retelling the Easter story through a Bible overview, children will discover that ‘because of our sin, we can't go in’ but because of Jesus’ victory on the cross, an even better garden awaits us...

The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross Coloring & Activity Book

32 pages of coloring, puzzles, mazes and activities for children.  Use alongside The Garden, the Curtain & the Cross to discover the story of the whole Bible.

Read-Aloud Bible Stories, Vol. 2

The award-winning Read Aloud Bible Stories series has delighted children, parents, and teachers for decades. Written by Ella K. Lindvall and illustrated by Kent Puckett, these timeless stories of the Bible are retold in clear, simple language children will enjoy and understand. And parents will appreciate the care taken to simplify the stories without sacrificing any accuracy.  Perfect for reading aloud or for early readers themselves, Read Aloud Bible Stories are a great way to ingrain God's truth into your child's heart early on. Plus, the 'What Did You Learn?' page at the end of every story helps children understand how God's Word applies to them today.

The Berenstain Bears: The Very First Easter

Featuring the precious artwork that has made The Berenstain Bears a treasured childhood favorite for nearly six decades, see the very first Easter from the heartwarming Berenstain Bear’s point of view—from Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem to the Last Supper to the risen Lord’s first appearance on Easter Sunday.

For the Whole Family

The Tale of Three Trees: A Traditional Folktale

Featuring the wonderful illustrations of Tim Jonke, this best-selling children's book tells the Easter story from a new and unusual point of view. Children will be deeply touched as they understand, perhaps for the first time, the significance of Christ's life and his atoning sacrifice on the cross.

Jesus Storybook Bible - Holy Week Reading Plan

From the blog "Home with the Boys"...

We read through just five stories for this Easter week with the Jesus Storybook Bible, but they are just the right ones to focus our hearts in the right place – Jesus!  I have included a few VERY simple activities & discussion ideas to go along with each reading. Including reading time, you’ll be done in 30 minutes or less each day. There is a printable outline of the week for you to keep as a handy reference as well!

The Wonder of Easter

Take ten minutes with your family each day to prepare for Easter.  This flexible, easy-to-use Lent devotional will allow both adults and children to celebrate the limitless wonder of Easter. Walk through Luke’s Gospel and the Old Testament to discover why the story of Jesus' death and resurrection is the most amazing story ever told.  This is a discussion-based resource with differentiated questions for 3-4s, 5-7s, 7-12s, teens and adults! At just 10 minutes each, these devotions are an achievable joy, not an unrealistic burden.
There are five devotions for each week. If you can't get to it every day, that's alright. Stuff happens. We hope that if you miss one you can pick it up again easily. You might discover that five a week is an unrealistic target—if so, some studies have been marked as KEY to help you choose which ones to pick.

Feel free to leave any book suggestions you might have in the comments!  Happy Reading!
