Come to the Feast

The communion meal reorients life by relocating us in the story told by the Word. Instead of being defined by the stories of our culture, we live as participants in God’s story. And the meal points to the goal: eating in the presence of God as a celebration of his generosity in creation and salvation. We anticipate this in every meal, but especially in the Lord’s Supper. (Tim Chester) We celebrate the Lord’s Supper together on the morning of the first day of the week. That first meal on the first day is meant to form and shape us for the other 20 meals we eat the rest of the week. Indeed, it’s meant to form us for all of life. Come to the feast!
