Getting Ready for Sunday | 4/8/12
Worship means, literally, acknowledging the worth of something or someone. It means recognizing and saying that something or someone is worthy of praise. It means celebrating the worth of someone or something far superior to oneself. (N.T. Wright)
When we gather on Sundays, we do so to celebrate and affirm the worth of God. We hope you'll join us this week. Here's a preview of our upcoming gathering:
It's Holy Week! Which means this Sunday is EASTER SUNDAY!
A great way to prepare for the celebration of Easter Sunday is to gather tonight @ Cincinnati Mennonite Fellowship for Good Friday. We're meeting @ 7pm and hope you'll join us. We will not have childcare but children are more than welcome and there is space for parents to hang out with children who get the wiggles.
Our text for the morning is 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 with sermon titled: Let the Resurrection Argue With You.
This weeks songs that we'll be singing together include:
- Christ the Lord is Risen Today (Here's a brief article regarding this classic hymn)
- All Things New
- It is Finished (It seems you can still get this song free from Matt Papas! Practice this one and sing it out Sunday morning!)
- Arise, My Soul Arise
- He's Alive
- King of Saints
See you on Sunday for our Easter celebration! Bring some friends with you!
